Lagos Ranked 3rd Worst Liveable City In The World

According to a report from the Economist Intelligence Unit, Lagos,
Nigeria has been ranked third worst liveable city in the world.

In it’s 2012 Global Livability survey, 140 cities were picked from
around the world and they were assessed based on the following
factors:

Political and social stability
Crime rates

Access to quality healthcare

Diversity and standard of cultural events

The natural environment; education (school and university)

Standard of infrastructure, including public transport

On worst living condition, Lagos ranked 138. In 2011, Lagos was at
137.

Following closely after Lagos was Port Moresby which took the
139th position and Dhaka, Bangladesh as the 140th position
making it the worst liveable city in the world.

The first on the list is Melbourne, Australia with overall rating of
97.5 followed by Vienna, Austria and Vancouver, Canada.

Johannesburg and Pretoria, South Africa took the 92nd & 96th
positions respectively. London ranked 55th, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
shares 92nd position with Johannesburg.
