President Barack Obama gets another four years to add to his already storied legacy.
4 MORE YEARS in the White House means Barack Obama has defeated Mitt Romney and will serve another term as the President of the United States.
After a hard-fought, oft-nasty battle against Republican challenger Mitt Romney,
NBC News called the 2012 presidential election in the Democratic
incumbent's favor at approximately 8:13 p.m. tonight, with CBS News and
CNN following suit moments later.
According
to multiple news sources/outlets, Obama locked up most of the swing states including Ohio, Nevada and Florida and has earned enough
electoral votes to remain the Commander in Chief.
"This happened because of you. Thank you," Obama tweeted just moments ago. "We're all in this together. That's how we campaigned, and that's who we are. Thank you. -bo"
Seemingly
not a minute leading up to this moment has been easy for Obama since
his historic victory in 2008—but he came, he governed, he campaigned for
reelection and, ultimately, he conquered.
Congratulations Africa, this is another victory for us
