Kelly Clarkson Sings LIVE at Obama’s Inauguration while our dear Beyonce lip-synced

Kelly Clarkson doesn't compare to Beyonce -- because Kelly actually sang her song LIVE at the Presidential Inauguration unlike Beyonce, who lip-synced to a pre-recorded track though she sounded amazing when she performed the National Anthem but now it has been confirmed that she lip-synced at President Barack Obama’s second Inauguration.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Marine Corp Band -- which provides the music for the Inauguration -- tells TMZ, Beyonce mouthed the words to a pre-recorded studio version of "The Star-Spangled Banner." See the video after the jump...........

But the rep added, Kelly sang "My Country 'Tis of Thee" WITHOUT the help of a backing track.
The rep said it's standard procedure to record a backing track before a live performance such as this -- you know, just in case -- and Bey decided at the last minute to rely on the studio version instead of winging it in person.
Kristin DuBois, Public Affairs Chief for the Marine Band, confirms, “We don’t at all we know why she decided to go with the pre-recorded music. All music [for the Inauguration] is pre-recorded as a matter of course. The Marine Band performed live and we received word at the last minute. Colonel Colborne and Officer Perry were standing right there, and I’m not sure who they were in contact with, but Perry gave the word to go with the pre-recorded track at the last minute. I can say that what is common is every four years someone wants to say someone is lip syncing, and four years ago it was Yo Yo Ma. He even admitted it and said well yes, it was 25 degrees, a cello can’t make a sound in those conditions. It’s not because she couldn’t sing, something had to have happened that prevented her from doing that. Kelly Clarkson did sing live and the band accompanied her. James Taylor … I don’t know. We are speaking on our behalf. We don’t know why she did it and all we know is what happened. Our role was to perform the National Anthem.”

The rep added, "We all know Beyonce can sing ... We don't know why she chose to use the pre-recorded track."
The London Times has also confirmed the report.
